Celebration of Deepavali 2013

        Before the day of Deepavali, leo club of SMK Puteri had sponsored an Indian family to buy the materials to make kolam. To bring the cheer for the family, 3 representatives from leo club of SMK Puteri stayed overnight at their house during the celebration of Deepavali. 

        On 1^st of November, leos helped to prepare the materials of kolam and started making  kolam from 8.00pm to 11.30pm. The rices which made up the kolam was then eaten by the insects. Leos then had Deepavali countdown with the family on that night. On 2^nd of November, they dressed up the leos with saree and had a visit to temple. Leos also helped them to prepare lunch and dinner.

Lions International Peace Poster Contest 2013

       A very first time, Leo Club of SMK Puteri has organized Lions International Peace Poster Contest at SMK Puteri, Seremban to express the young people visions of peace. Leo Club of SMK Puteri had successfully organized Lions International Peace Poster Contest under sponsoring of Lions Club of Seremban Central. 
            
       On a day before, the committees stay back for an hour to rearrange the tables and chairs for the participants. We had launching section which was releasing pegions as a symbol of peaceful at English Zone. The participants started drawing their poster from 2pm to 5pm. Each participants got a goodie bag including  certificate and artboards which were provided for them.

Leo Installation 2013/ 2014

          On 18th September 2013, Leo Club of SMK Puteri has organized the 18th leo installation . For your information, the objective of leo installation is to install the new Board Of Director.

           Firstly, we started off with our preparation at 1.00pm. Everyone cooperated and helped in preparing of the ceremony. After all the guests have arrived and seated, the MC invited President of Lions Club of Seremban Central, Lion Dr Gobaind to officially call the meeting to order. Then, everyone started to sing National Anthem and to recite the Leo Pledge. Leo Chloe Chai as the President 12/13 gave a slight speech. Later, Lion Dr Gobaind presented certificates to the BOD 12/13.

         
           The installation of the new BOD 13/14 was carried out by Lion Helen Teo. Then, she called out the committees to pledge“ I will “to carrying out specific duties one by one starting with the directors, treasurer, secretary and finally the president. After all that was done, Dr. Gobaind Naindu presented badges to all the new BOD 13/14. Then, President 13/14, Leo Joey Ma gave her speech as the incoming club president. There was a short photography session among all the Lions, the Leonines, the BOD 12/13 and the new BOD 13/14.  

 After that everyone was welcomed to have the mouth-watering refreshments while enjoying a time of fellowship with one another.The project ended roughly at 3.30pm and all the guests left the school compound whereas the members stayed back to help out in cleaning and arranging back the tables and chairs with teachers’ supervision. All the cleaning up ended at 3.45pm. The installation was a success and all of us were relieved and happy.

Celebration of Malaysia Day

         1Malaysia (pronounced One Malaysia in English and Satu Malaysia in Malay ) is an on-going programme designed by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak on 16 September 2010, calling for the cabinet, government agencies, and civil servants to more strongly emphasize ethnic harmony, national unity, and efficient governance.In our school, handprint on 1 Malaysia was organized by leo club of SMK Puteri, Seremban. What we did is the leos chose their favourite colour and painted the colour on their hand. Immediately, they chopped their coloured hands on the provided manila cards and formed '' 1 MALAYSIA''. Throughout the activity, they were able to make more friends and their relationships were fostered. the slogan which was done by the leos was then hang up at the Balai Koko of SMK Puteri as a decoration.

Charity Dinner with lions

      On the 14th of September 2013, 7 representatives from leo club of SMK PUTERI, Seremban had attended charity dinner which was organized by Lions Club of Seremban Central at Restoran Dragon Oakland Seremban. During dinner time, we help to sell the lucky draw tickets for the guests. By the way, we also get to make new friends with some youths. The charity dinner was end up at 10.00pm.

Lions International Peace Poster Contest 15 September 2013

       A very first time, Lions International Peace Poster Contest 2013 will be held in SMK Puteri, Seremban by leo club of SMK Puteri, Seremban. This event is organized to give the young the opportunity to think about World Peace and creatively express what is means to them.

Theme: ' Our World, Our Future'
Date: 25th September 2013 ( Wednesday)
Time: 2:00pm- 5.00pm
Venue: Dataran Puteri of SMK Puteri, Seremban.

RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Participants are require to bring their own colouring and drawing materials. Accepted media are chalk, charcoal, crayon, marker, paint, pastel, pencil, poster/ water colour and pen. Note: chalk, charcoal & pastel entries should be sealed with a fixative spray to prevent smearing.
2. The organizer shall not be responsible for any injuries or damages that may be sustained during this contest.
3.The judges' decision is final. No correspondence will be entertained.
4. The organizer reserves the right to use the participants photographs for any publicity.
5. All entries become the property of Lions Club International.
6. Each contestant may participate only once each year regardless of which Lions Club held the contest. Participation in more than one contest will automatically result in disqualification.
7. Please submit your completed forms at NO CHARGE on  or before 18/09/2013 to the Leo Marcia Chua( 1 Omega) or Leo Chevonne Poh ( 1 Zeta)

** Only limited late entries will be entertained on the day of the event upon registration.
** Each poster is judged on originality, artistic merit, and expression of the theme: ' Our World,Our Future'
** Participants are advice not to touch the words of theme and the logo of Peace in their poster.

Leo Forum 2013

        On the 25- 27 of May , 6 representatives from Leo Club of SMK Puteri, Seremban had attended Leo Forum 2013 which located at Glory Beach Hotel, Port Dickson.On the first day, we registered ourselves and had a lunch also. Then, we checked in to the room and we had a fellowship night.During the second day, we had team building games with the leos and  banquet night at Banquet Hall. During the last day, we checked out the room. Last but not least, we also had socialize and group photo sections.
